FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: this relates to cooling procedure in manufacture of steel plate on hot-rolling mill. To improve quality of steel plate and reduce fuel consumption in heating for normalization, at accelerated cooling after hot rolling at speed of at least 5 C/s to 600-700 C/s, effected is additional change of metal heating temperature at normalization of hardening of plates depending on temperature at discontinuation of accelerated cooling.
