FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: for transfer of grainy wastes from hydraulic dump to basin with steep sides and horizontal bottom created in water-permeable rock matter and located above ground water level, initially bottom of basin is levelled and covered with layer of water-tight material and horizontal drainage is arranged on aforesaid layer in the form of drain course and drain pipe. Then wastes in hydraulic dump are excavated and delivered by mechanical facilities to basin where wastes taken from pond zone of hydraulic dump are dumped at basin sides, and dumped in middle part of basin are wastes taken from above-water zone of hydraulic dump. Discharged wastes are compacted layer- by-layer with creation of different levels, and arranged between layers along sides is counter-filtration device in the form of band of polymeric film material adjoining side and at angled from it.
