METHOD TO IDENTIFY A CORPSE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, forensic and criminological examination. SUBSTANCE: method deals with identification of a corpse body by conducting dermatoglyphics and photographs of rear side of corpse's palms and feet and those for corpse's potential circle of close relatives. Then comparison of predominant ornament on fingers, amount and morphological peculiarities of palm's flexor folds, double flexor folds of fingers' phalanxes, white lines of fingers and palms, fingers' shape and their nail plates. In case of maximal coincidence of all above mentioned signs with those in potential close relatives it is possible to state on identification of corpse's body. EFFECT: higher efficiency in identification of corpses at higher entry of unknown corpses both at extreme situations and single cases of expert's practice.
