SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to research and diagnosis of Caucasoid-Mongoloid affiliation of an individual. Disclosed is a method of determining a person's Caucasoid-Mongoloid affiliation by dermatoglyphic patterns of distal phalanx of ten fingers. Method comprises fixing types of dermatoglyphic patterns, where A is a simple arc; T – shaped arc; U – ulnar loop; R is a radial loop; W is curl; WL is a composite pattern, of ten fingers: 1 finger – thumb of right hand, 2 fingers – index finger of right hand, 3 fingers – middle finger of right hand, 4 fingers – ring finger of right hand, 5 fingers – little finger of right hand, 6 fingers – thumb of left hand, 7 finger – index finger of left hand, 8 finger – middle finger of left hand, 9 finger – a ring finger of the left hand, 10 fingers – little finger of the left hand with subsequent search of identical combination of patterns or close combinations of patterns in "Database on combination of papillary fingerprints in Caucasians and Mongoloids". At the same time in the base there are no duplicates of patterns in any of the racial groups. Further diagnostics of the race is carried out by analyzing the race of individuals with identical or close combinations of patterns.

EFFECT: invention provides simplicity and convenience of process of establishment of individual's race.
