METHOD FOR CORRECTING LOCAL HEMOSTASIS DURING PEROSSEOUS INSERTION OF SURGICAL PINS TO PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM ENHANCED HEMOPHILIA Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine; traumatology; orthopedics; hematology. SUBSTANCE: hemostatic preparation is administered directly in vicinity of bleeding vessels by injecting preparation into canal formed by insertion of pin, with help of syringe and needle at least 130 mm long, needle being drawn by pin. Inner diameter of needle must be greater than pin diameter by 0.1 mm. Similarly, hemostatic preparations can be administered not only into canal formed by passage of pin through bone, but also subperiosteally and into soft tissues around pin. Use of proposed method makes it possible to prevent development of postoperative bleedings from pin-formed passages in patients subjected to skeletal traction and in process of treating contractures in patients affected with hemophilia with help of hemostatic equipment. EFFECT: 1) stay of hemophiliacs in hospital can be shortened, on average, by 9,0±1,1 days; 2) cryoprecipitate consumption per single patient treatment period is reduced by factor 1,5; and 3) clinical and functional treatment results are improved.
