FIELD: machine engineering, namely processes for shaping articles of metal and loose materials, forging equipment. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of pulse action upon blank at subjecting one unit of press to pulsation rocking motion along circle whose plane is normal relative to direction of reciprocation motion and subjecting second unit of said press to reciprocation motion. Impact compression-shear type stresses are occurred in blank. Said stresses provide heating up of blank material and its super deformability. Press for performing the method includes frame and arranged mutually opposite shaping units. One of said units has row of pistons acting in parallel, hydraulic motor with rocking rotor. Another unit includes usual hydraulic cylinder. In one variant of invention press includes above mentioned units separated from their drive mechanisms: one unit with pistons and hydraulic motor is driven by individual hydraulic pulsator; second hydraulic cylinder is driven by pump station. In second variant of invention hydraulic pulsator, pistons and hydraulic motor are arranged in common cylinder. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of method, improved design of press. 5 cl, 5 dwg
