FIELD: inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: carbon source includes platinum metal carbonyls and derrivatives thereof. Thermal decomposition thereof at temperatures of 0-300 C and pressure of 1.5-1500 mm Hg in oxidizing or neutral medium causes formation of diamond seeds. EFFECT: more efficient synthesis method.
