FIELD: detection of leaks of substances from closed volumes filled with working medium, instrumentation and mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method of detection of leaks consists in formation of closed volume of accumulation around tested object by chemical process, in pumping of air from volume of accumulation through reaction chamber where chemical reaction of indicating solution takes place which results in change of its color with substances contained in air of volume of accumulation. Then optical density of solution is found on specified length of wave. Later object of test is held in the course of certain time in specified volume and air from volume of accumulation is pumped through reaction chamber again where chemical reaction of working medium flowed from tested object. with indicating solution occurs. Optical density of solution is measured and value of leak of working medium is calculated. EFFECT: expanded application field of method, increased authenticity of leak detection. 1 dwg
