FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: coaxial resonator is related to the field of measurement equipment and may be used for measurement of SHF capacitor Q-factor. Device consists of two dielectric boards 1, cylindrical screen 2, central conductor 3. Cylindrical screen is connected to dielectric boards with the help of screws 4, passing through metallised openings of 5 boards. SHF signal is supplied to resonator and is diverted from it with the help of microstrips 6 and metal pins of excitation 7, installed in upper dielectric board. Investigated sample with its SHF electrodes is installed on contact platforms 8 and 9, and with its control electrode - on platform 10 of external part of upper board, in which opening 11 is arranged with conductor 12, intended for connection of central conductor with one of SHF electrodes of measured capacitor, area of the board opening is metallised from both sides and is insulated from the remaining double-sided metallisation of board. Contact platform 10 with the help of microstrip 13 is connected with low pass filter, created by SHF capacitor soldered with their electrodes to contact platform 14 and area of earth 15 and microstrip 16, acting as SHF inductance and connected to contact platform 17, to which external circuits of measured capacitor control.
EFFECT: provision of possibility to simplify process of Q-factor measurement due to the fact tested sample is placed not inside the resonator chamber, and on external side of dielectric board, and also to simplify positioning of sample and to reduce testing time by elimination of measurement resonator assembly and disassembly operations in case of sample replacement.
