FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: liquids under investigation are located in the measuring cells or are pumped through the pipeline. In the proposed method, electromagnetic waves in the waveguide resonator are pre-excited to measure the physical properties of the liquid and the resonance frequency of the electromagnetic oscillations is measured. The monitored liquid is placed in a coaxial resonator in which one of its end portions is an over-bound coaxial waveguide with a reduced diameter of the outer conductor. In the resonator, electromagnetic oscillations of the type Hm1p (m=1, 2, 3. …; p=1, 2, 3, …). The second end portion of the coaxial resonator is identical to the first end portion or is made in the form of a metal wall of the waveguide cavity.
EFFECT: expansion of the functionality of the proposed method by performing measurements of the physical properties of the fluid over a wide range of frequencies, including at high frequencies of the GHz range.
