FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method consists of the following operations. Total voltage drop across organism proportional to impedance is measured. Then voltage drop is measured across component parts of organism. Impedance of region under examination is found as difference between the above-indicated vales. Device has current electrodes 1 and 2, potential regional electrodes 6 and 7, potential peripheral electrodes 8 and 9, switch 15, detector 16, analog-to-digital converter 17, processing and indicating unit 18, and voltage divider 19.
