FIELD: fertilizers. SUBSTANCE: natural substrate or fertilizing materials such as sphagnous material, coconut powder, or fowl droppings may contain seeds and other impurities that should be neutralized by heat treatment. Especially effective treatment is achieved when material, having passed through flow oven, enters heat-insulated channel 38. Heat treatment can be thus essentially prolonged with no additional power consumption. Material stream then passes through transport system practically inaccessible for surrounding medium and including zone 42. Material is cooled in this zone with filtered air blowing and, being displaced further, receives required substances and microbiological medium in mixing station 12, and is packed into hermetic transport containers in discharge zone (station 16). EFFECT: improved quality and homogeneity of sphagnous substrate. 7 cl, 3 dwg
