FIELD: production of high-melting, rare metals and alloys. SUBSTANCE: method is carried out by heating mixture which comprises wolframite concentrate, nitrate of sodium and potassium and sodium bicarbonate at their mass ratio 1:(1.4-0.7):(0.7-0.3) respectively. The process takes place in liquid salt bath at 320-550 C. Thus obtained alloy is affected by hydrometallurgical processing according to commonly used procedure to prepare tungsten commercial product. Extraction degree of tungsten into said commercial product is 95-98.5 %. EFFECT: excluded pollution with harmful wastes; saltpeter used by melting is regenerated; decreased temperature of reaction process. 1 tbl
