FIELD: metallurgy of rare metals, possibly processing of concentrate of wolframite.
SUBSTANCE: method is realized due to sintering concentrate of wolframite together with potassium carbonate at presence of oxygen; further leaching prepared cake, Sintering is performed at temperature 700 -750°C at relation of potassium carbonate (mass %) to total quantity of tungsten trioxide, sulfur and molybdenum trioxide (mass %) in range 0.65 - 0.7.
EFFECT: selective extraction of tungsten from concentrate due to lowered sintering temperature without crust formation.
