RAIL-GRINDING DEVICE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: railway track maintenance equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has frame 1 with guide rollers 2, cradles 4 secured on turning pads 5 of frame. Also provided are rail grinding heads with electric motors and grinding wheels, control power cylinders 7 with double-side rods and journals 10 on lower ends of rods. Journals are also mounted on upper ends of rods of control power cylinders. Mounted on journals of upper ends 8 and lower ends 9 of control power cylinder rods are double-arm levers 11. Installed in pivots on ends of double-arm levers are frames 13 with guide members 15 which are turnable in plane which is lateral to rail track axis. Guide members carry turning sectors 16 together with aforesaid rail grinding heads 17 fastened on them. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 dwg
