FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: engine has one or several working sections each including stator 3 with end face covers, rotor 4 and two cylinders 1 and 2. Pistons 9 and 10 are installed in cylinders 1 and 2 to form working spaces. Pistons 9 and 10 are coupled with crankshaft 13. Each section has combustion chambers 5 and 6 communicating with working spaces. Combustion chambers 5 and 6 are formed by rotor 4 rotating synchronously with crankshaft 13. End face covers have two mirror holes. Rotor 4 is made for forming additional spaces in stator by means of which chambers are separated from each other. One of cylinders is made working, and its capacity is 12.5-4.0-fold greater than that of other cylinder for gasoline engines and 2.0-5.0-fold greater than that of other cylinder for diesel engines. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 cl, 3 dwg
