FIELD: optical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes translucence of transparent medium section by coherent comparison beam, interference with counter diverging coherent measurement beam, direction of these beams to observation plane, and comparison based on interference of amplitude-phase characteristics of these two beams. Comparison beam is focused so that its focus is in transparent medium section selected for measurement. In this case, extension of beams and interdependence of their focuses are effected at one moment. Device for measuring the micrononhomogeneousness of transparent media has laser. It has also telescopic system, laser beam splitter, flat mirrors, and interference picture observation plane positioned in succession. Collecting lens with shifting mechanism is placed in front of beam splitter, and flat mirrors are installed at angle to laser radiation. EFFECT: higher measurement results. 2 cl, 1 dwg
