SUBSTANCE: storage of device with fissionable material involves underground explosion of nuclear charge and formation of cavity in rock; intensity of nuclear charge decay is maintained in cavity or in section of multisection cavity, after device with fissionable material is placed in it, below critical level; device with fissionable material is proposed, in particular, to be subjected to crushing within cavity or neutron absorber may be placed between fissionable material and nuclear charge, or device may be shielded from impact effect during nuclear charge explosion within cavity. EFFECT: preventing uncontrolled explosion of devices with fissionable materials, especially in emergency nuclear reactors during their conveying through highly populated regions and during their storage. 9 cl
