FIELD: nuclear power engineering; nuclear reactors for shipboard power plants. SUBSTANCE: shielding container is made in the form of shell with annular ridge on inner surface for supporting pressurized-vessel reactor together with its core. Shell is provided with shielding layer of material absorbing ionizing radiation. Shielding containers holding such reactors and their cores are installed horizontally in storage arrangement, each preceding container being joined with next one .
