FIELD: high-power drives with tractive electromagnets of valve or solenoid type. SUBSTANCE: proposed drive includes electromagnet which mobile part is coupled to working mechanism and immobile part has winding. Position sensor in the form of choke shunted with diode is placed into circuit of winding. Sensitive element of position sensor of mobile part (armature) of electromagnet is placed in series in circuit of diode. Winding is connected to power supply source with the aid of main and additional commutation elements, the last of them is connected with control input to sensitive element of translation pickup. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability of electromagnetic drive.
