FIELD: electrical engineering; arc suppression across contacts with bridge-type (no-break) circuit switching, such as hermetically sealed liquid-metal contacts. SUBSTANCE: circuit having bridge-type switching contact, arcing circuit, and load has its arcing circuit connected in parallel with make and break contacts which enables using one set of arcing circuit for protecting both make and break contacts during relay drop-out and pull-in operations, respectively. EFFECT: eliminated failure in case of arcing circuit breakdown, such as, permanent connection of two leads with third one of contact T-piece periodically connected which may inadmissible disturb load functioning algorithms. 1 dwg
