FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: proposed method is based upon setting up date bank which stores results of measuring intensity of reflected radiation form corpse's eye. To set up this data bank, corpse's eye is irradiated with parallel light beams, followed by adjusting operation of data transducers and by measuring intensities of light rays reflected from corpse's eye. Identical procedure is repeated with living patient's eye. Predetermined parameters based on data stored in data bank are compared for both corpse's eye and patient's eye, light reflection intensities from patient's eye are compared with stored data and if measured light radiation intensity from patient's eye coincides with that of signal reflected from corpse's eye, intraocular pressure value is obtained. EFFECT: method permits to carry out highly accurate measurements of intraocular pressure; it is simple to practise; it is money-saving and solves social problems. 1 dwg
