FIELD: friction composition for manufacturing of breaking devices. SUBSTANCE: friction composition on the base of combined binder additionally comprises liquid glass together with vermiculite and silicium carbide; basalt fiber, mineral wool and glass fiber being used instead of asbestos filler. Composition comprises, %: polybutadiene rubber, 6-6, acrylonitrile rubber, 6-5; phenol formaldehyde resin, 6-5; liquid glass, 2-2.5; vermiculite, 6-4; silicium carbide, 1-5; basalt wool, 10-9; mineral wool, 10-9; glass fiber, 6-10; phenylon, 2.2-2.0; technical carbon, 3-4; cryptocrystalline graphite, 2-4; crystalline graphite, 4-5; powder iron, 10-12; zinc white, 2-1.5; sulfur, 3.5-4; captax, 0.2-0.3; thiuram. 0.1-0.2; barite, the balance.
