FIELD: aluminum production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to standardized loading of anode mass based, for example, on 1:1 mixture of oil and coal cakes. Loading of anode mass is started one to two days before beginning of displacing rods into space between peripheral rows and anode housing. After that, central part of anode is loaded in two portions within 1 day and, 1-2 days later, peripheral rods are displaced. The latter operation completed, 30-40% of total anode mass is loaded in 2-3 portions between central and peripheral rows, sticking cone of anode being maintained within the range 110 to 125 cm. EFFECT: achieved formation of homogeneous secondary anode, improved quality of produce, and reduced release of noxious substances. 4 cl, 2 tbl
