FIELD: sealing engineering. SUBSTANCE: sealing unit has cover and housing that are in a contact with a metal spacer interposed between them. The cover is secured to the housing through pressing members made up as stud-bolts with nuts. The cover is provided with flexibly deformable disk fixed on the inner side of the cover so that to allow it to be in a contact with the spacer by surfaces of a groove provided on the end face of the disk. The spacer is received in the groove of the housing that is in opposition and answering to the disk groove. When the cover is closed the edge of the disk is bent. The magnitude of the bend corresponds to the reference space between the cover and the housing before tightening nuts. When the cover does not abut the housing under the action of the flexible force produced by the disk the spacer is additionally plastically deformed and it is redistributed over the contour to be sealed thus excluding seal failure.
