FIELD: electric engineering, in particular, alternating current power supplies which are made from pulse capacitors of very-high capacity. SUBSTANCE: device has alternating current power supply which is by-passed by serial circuit of two controlled two-direction gates. Connection point of controlled gates is connected through serial circuit of choke and limiting capacitor to connection point of two gates which by-pass capacity accumulator. One terminal of one gate is connected to power supply. Device conforms to voltage-doubling circuit due to charging limiting capacitor up to amplitude level in one half-period and charging capacity accumulator from serial circuit of power supply and limiting capacitor in second half-period. Limiting capacitor is additionally charged through controlled two-direction gate. Device may be used in heavy-power electrophysical, industrial and other equipment (for example, in X-ray equipment). EFFECT: decreased load of power supply with reactive current, increased efficiency. 2 dwg
