FIELD: inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: proposed method resides in reacting phosphorus-containing raw material with elemental iodine, followed by separating final product by filtering. Inventive novelty of proposed invention resides in fact that method employs, as said phosphorus-containing raw material, phosphoric slurry which represents waste resulting from production of yellow phosphorus. EFFECT: 1) reduced consumption of elemental iodine; 2) greater output of filtering step.
