FIELD: glass making. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to molding piece glass products: diffusers, luster bowls, etc. In machine for centrifugal molding containing rotating mold with cover installed in a handler actuating pressing means and cover-rotation mechanisms, said pressing means contains a barrel installed on bearings on pneumatic cylinder rod. Cover of mold, through attached to cover flange, is freely hanged on barrel in spaced relation to the latter and to anchor bolts. On the cover, ball pressure roll is disposed coaxially with barrel and mold to transmit to the cover closing force developed by compressed air in pneumatic cylinder. Because of this force, friction force effect in this unit proves to be equal (or close) to zero and, therefore, there is no need of additionally supplying power to get over friction force. When cover descends on the mold, anchor bolts, owing to gaps, freely, with no exertion and destabilizing action on mold, find their position in the holes of cover flange, even so when there is lack of alignment in barrel and mold.
