FIELD: production of ceramic articles which are preferably intended for prevention of salting out on thick-walled ceramic brick-type articles. SUBSTANCE: method involves production of mixture on the base of clay, formation of half-finished article by adding of additive on the base of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose into said mixture, drying and roasting of desired article. Together with sodium carboxymethyl cellulose one or more water soluble sodium compounds are added into said additive. Additive is added into mixture by impregnation of surface layer of half-finished formed article. Sodium carbonate and/or sodium chloride and/or sodium polyphosphate are used as mentioned above water soluble sodium compounds. Additive comprises, mas. %: sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, 1.0-3.0; one or more water soluble sodium compound, 0.5-3.5; water, the balance. EFFECT: improved efficiency. 2 cl
