FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparing clay mass, shaping brick bars, drying, and firing plus operation of eliminating salting- out on face surfaces. The latter operation is carried out by way of adding 4% sodium carboxymethylcellulose solution to clay mass while being prepared or by way of applying the same solution onto surface of freshly shaped bar in the form of layer 10-50 mcm thick. EFFECT: improved quality of face surfaces.
