FIELD: carbon black production. SUBSTANCE: in a method of preparing carbon black for rubber and paint industries including combustion of hydrocarbon raw material with air, thermal decomposition of hydrocarbons in reactor, withdrawal of process products and isolation of carbon black therefrom, distinguishing feature consists in that hydrocarbon raw material is preliminarily mixed with air to α = 0.15-0.45, mixture is heated to 200-450 C and fed into chemical compression reactor wherein combustion and thermal decomposition are achieved by way of compressing mixture by piston moving toward upper dead point to kindle mixture and keep temperature 1600-2600 C for 10^-2-10^-3 s, whereupon process products are cooled by way of their expansion when piston moves toward lower dead point. Simultaneously, kinetic energy of moving mechanism is transformed into electrical power. Process products are withdrawn from reactor when piston effects its next movement toward upper dead point, and on its back movement, fresh hydrocarbon raw material is introduced into reactor. In a method including thermal decomposition of hydrocarbons mixed with inert gas, distinguishing feature consists in that raw material is preliminarily mixed with inert gas in the ratio providing adiabatic index value within 1.3 to 1.5, mixture is heated to 250-550 C, and thermal decomposition is performed at 1800- 4200 C.
