FIELD: radars, in particular, air traffic control. SUBSTANCE: method involves sequential scanning of regions under different positions of beam and integral processing of scanning results. Position of beam according to this method is altered by means of alternation of its plane slope angle and azimuth and/or alternation of direction angle. Angular positions of beams which point to object of same distance are stored and angular coordinates of scanning regions for these positions are calculated and treated as coordinates of detected objects.
