SUBSTANCE: decision is made on the fact that signals detected in column of radar station surveillance zone are reflections from earth surface as a result of superrefraction, and they are eliminated from further processing, if they are arranged in at least specified number of positions of a single column beam, in a single range of distance and in at least specified number of serial zone surveillances.
EFFECT: reduced blanked area of radar station surveillance zone under conditions of superrefraction and according reduction of probability of signal transmission from target.
