FIELD: pulse ion beam production technology. SUBSTANCE: ion gun makes it possible to produce beams of circular or rectangular section with high homogeneousness. Ion gun has cathode in the form of flat turn with holes open on one side. Open ends of turn are connected to current source. Flat anode with rounded faces and plasma forming sections positioned opposite cathode hole is installed inside cathode. In contrast to prototype, open ends of cathode are made in the form of opposite-pin combs. This type of cathode assembly connection to power supply source makes it possible to remove thin conducting screen from construction. EFFECT: reliability and long-time service. 1 dwg
