FIELD: aircraft emergency braking systems. SUBSTANCE: system includes arresting cable located on surface of runway and connected with cable of braking mechanisms and command cable located in parallel with arresting cable and connected with it by means of rods for raising the arresting cable. Each rod is made in form of two struts rigidly interconnected at one end and articulated in bracket fixed on surface of runway; other ends of struts are directed towards running aircraft. They are provided with units for securing the cables and are connected by means of flexible arc-shaped member; strut provided with unit for securing the arresting cable is bent towards other strut. Unit for securing the arresting cable is made in form of clamp whose one end is articulated on bent strut and is locked against turn by means of shear pin and other end is engageable with free end of spring-loaded pin. Unit for securing the command rope is made in form of fork with shaped lug. Cable layer is made in form of two taper cylindrical rollers engageable with cable of braking mechanism and fitted on axle located on other axle mounted in lever articulated in bracket of braking mechanism and engageable with pneumatic chamber. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 9 dwg
