FIELD: production of painted glass products. SUBSTANCE: in order to strengthen glass substrate, latter is subjected to treatment with aqueous solution of mixture consisting of glyceridoxypropyl trimethoxysilane, 2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl) ethyltrimethoxysilane and methyl trimethoxysilane. To increase strength of coating, latter is irradiated with UV-rays. Proposed method is used to produce articles by applying coating onto pro-treated substrate. EFFECT: 1) method is easily adaptable to mass-scale production of brittle articles; 2) method does not involve large expenditure, since chemicals uses are cheap and easily available. 4 cl
