FIELD: organometallic compounds. SUBSTANCE: invention provides organometallic compound of formula I: (I) wherein L1 is element of 15th group of periodic table, M II-group transition element, x denotes oxidation state of M, R1 represents methacrylate group, R2 and R3 unsubstituted alkoxy group containing up to 15 carbon atoms, R4 anionic ligand selected from halogen, cyanate, thiocyanate, or thiophenyl; if x>1, all R4 can be identical or different. This organometallic compound is suitable for production of polymers, in particular copolymers from acrylate, methyl methacrylate, and butyl acrylate monomers. Invention also provides polymer with recurrent motif II: (II) wherein have the same meaning as above. Copolymers of invention are fit for compositions used for sea antifouling coatings.
