FIELD: spectrophotometric analysis. SUBSTANCE: to test sample, 2.5% aromatic amine in bipolar aprotic solvent and mixture of 30% hydrogen peroxide with alkali at their volume ratio 2:1, whereas ratio of test sample solution, aromatic amine, and above-mentioned mixture is 25:1:1. Optical density of colored solution is measured at wavelength 420 nm and further used to calculate content of chloroethenyldichloroarsine in sample. As aromatic amine, o-toluidine is advantageously used and, as bipolar aproton solvent, acetone. Method can be utilized at chemical weapon destruction places.
