FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: to extend functional capabilities of regulator and obtain effective regulation of reactive power due to phase-by-phase and three-phase switching-on/off of capacitor bank sections in mains with unbalanced load, use is made of reactive power regulator provided with multiplier and three pairs of inputs. Each of the inputs is supplied with linear current of respective phase and linear voltage of two other phases. Regulator has unit separating the maximum signal. Unit is provided with photosensitive element and switch which ensures phase-by-phase and three-phase connection and disconnection of capacitor bank sections. Reactive power regulator makes it possible to balance unbalanced load. It can be used in electric mains with balanced load. EFFECT: reduced consumption of reactive power; decreased power losses. 1 dwg
