FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method consists in feed of water-air mixture to the surface to be chilled in the form of a jet formed by a water-air spray obtained by breaking of a water jet into drops with a subsequent mixing of them with air fed under pressure. Chilling of supporting members is effected by the external surfaces of the jet of water-air spray.
