FIELD: waste water treatment. SUBSTANCE: electrocoagulator designed to treat heavy metal-containing waste waters consists of pontoon inductors disposed on the latter. Each one-phase inductor consists of toroidally shaped core with insulated-wire one-phase coil wound with the aid of insulating annular spacers. On switching on power, primary current passes through coil inducing secondary current in waste water. Impurities in waste water are electrically coagulated and settled down onto the bottom of settler, whereas purified water is withdrawn from settler through drain pipe. Accumulated sludge is removed by means of special pumps. Inductors' being suspended on the pontoon makes it possible to conduct continuous treatment of waste waters resulting in increasing productivity of process. EFFECT: increased productivity. 4 dwg
