FIELD: magnetic treatment of liquids. SUBSTANCE: invention aims at magnetically activating liquid media, chiefly in petroleum industry, to prevent deposits on equipment. Apparatus has sealed casing of nonmagnetic material and axially disposed constant magnets and pole terminals of magnetically soft material. On end surfaces of pole terminals, there are annular protrusions with inner diameter equal to those of annular magnets which are magnetized in radial direction. Alike poles of constant magnets abut, with their annular end regions, common pole terminals. Inner diameter of casing is equal to outer diameters of annular magnets and pole terminals. Height and thickness of annular protrusion (l1 and l2, m) meet following relationships: l1= (0,8÷1,2)H1, l2= (0,1÷0,2)L, H1= (2÷4)L, where H1 is thickness of pole terminals, m, and L height of pole terminals and constant magnets, m, thickness of annular constant magnets being 2-4 times less than that of pole terminals.
