APPARATUS FOR MAGNETIC PROCESSING OF LIQUID Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for intensification of processes in chemical, electrotechnical, oil industry, heat engineering, in water supply systems.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has ferromagnetic pipe, annular permanent magnets positioned on outer surface of pipe and embraced in sealing relation with screen. Ferromagnetic rings are arranged in gap-free relation at end of each magnet. Magnets are arranged in pairs with similar poles facing to one another. Pipe is made from non-magnetic material. Spiral body is positioned axially of pipe. Geometric sizes of annular permanent magnets and pole ends are selected depending upon diameter of section of ferromagnetic pipe. Apparatus may be used for preventing sediments from settling on heating surfaces of heat-exchanging devices, for magnetic desalination and activation of water, as well as for purifying and clarifying of process and domestic water.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in magnetic processing of liquid flow at various flow speeds and liquids having various physicochemical properties.
