FIELD: thermal power stations burning low-grade fuels. SUBSTANCE: batcher 12 sends some portion of fuel to section 8 of feeder 2. Fuel is heated as soon as it enters hot melt of slag and is continuously subjected to radiant heat from gasification and combustion chamber 1, its lumps crack and melt. Then pulse valve 17 opens to admit air from receiver 16 which builds up pressure in upper section 7 of feeder 2. Some portion of slag is displaced under this pressure through port 9 to section 8 of feeder 2. Melt level within section 8 of feeder 2 rises, and fuel-slag mixture flows through port 14 onto liquid slag surface in chamber 1. Air coming from receiver 16 is not mixed up wit fuel-slag mixture ejected to chamber 1 and does not reduce temperature of this mixture. Therefore, viscosity characteristics of mentioned mixture are not reduced and feeder 2 is not slagged. Upon certain time, pulse valve 17 closes and at the same time shut-off valve 19 opens to release pressure in section 7; the latter is filled through bottom transfer port 4 with new portion of liquid slag from chamber 1. Section 8 is also filled with new portion of slag through port 9. Cycle is resumed. EFFECT: improved reliability of fuel combustion. 4 cl, 2 dwg
