FIELD: thermal power stations. SUBSTANCE: batcher 9 conveys part of fuel to feeder 2. Pulse-operated valve 13 opens and pressure built up in feeder 2 due to air coming from receiver 12 displaces fuel-slag mixture to combustion chamber 1 under slag melt level. Valve 10 prevents air leakage through batcher 9 to bin 8. Upon expiration of certain time pulse-operated valve 13 closes and discharge valve 15 opens simultaneously and reduces pressure within feeder 2. The latter is filled up with new portion of liquid slag from chamber 1. Valve 10 opens and cycle is resumed. Air admitted from receiver 12 is not mixed up with fuel-slag mixture and does not reduce its temperature. Therefore, viscosity characteristics of this mixture are not reduced and feeder 2 is not slagged. In addition, fuel contained in feeder 2, as it enters liquid slag volume, suffers intensive heating and cracking. Mixture adequately prepared in this way is admitted under melt level in chamber 1 where fuel is intensively gasified and burned. EFFECT: improved efficiency of plant. 3 cl, 1 dwg
