FIELD: power engineering; thermal power stations. SUBSTANCE: method used for gasifying and burning low-grade fuels involves introduction of oxidant in furnace at gage pressure ensuring impact-swirling, annular, and uplift-swirling flow of gases in nozzle jets of bottom, intermediate, and top tiers of furnace, respectively. Blast air is injected in each nozzle of at least top tier in concentric flows. General high-pressure environment in vicinity of furnace nozzles is built up due to higher pressure of central-flow oxidant compared with oxidant pressure in peripheral flow which ensures higher overfire of central air and at the same time prevents formation of gas vortexes in close proximity of nozzles. EFFECT: enhanced completeness of fuel combustion. 2 dwg
