FIELD: protective equipment. SUBSTANCE: casing for ballistic protection of people and/or objects has walls of slabs that are interconnected by means of section-shaped tyres, and the slabs at least in the zone intended for placement in section- shaped tyres are made for compression. Section- shaped tyres have at least one recess enveloping one edge of the tyre respectively, in which the slab edge is inserted with compression of the zone of edges. Compression of slab edges is effected by means of wedges inserted between the wall of the cross-section tyre slot and the slab surface in the zone of edges. It is preferable to make slabs of fibrous composite. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 12 cl, 6 dwg
