FIELD: training of operators. SUBSTANCE: for evaluation of level of training of operator of target indicator-range finder there are used target 6 fitted with corner reflector 7 and laser target indicator-range finder 1 which reads range to target 6 only if radiation of laser target indicator - range finder hits reflector 7. There are conducted experiments involving Ni measurements of range to target 6, where i=1,2,..., N is number of experiment. Possibility of reading of range to target 6 is recorded in each experiment. Possibility of reading of range to target 6 only if laser radiation hits corner reflector 7 is provided due to decreased sensitivity of reception channel 4 of laser target indicator-range finder 1. Angular mismatch of emitting 2 and sight 3 channels of laser target indicator-range finder 1 in addition and resolving power of range-finding channel of it along direction are determined and norm value of average number of mishits is calculated.
