FIELD: physiotherapy and rehabilitation of sick children and adult patients affected with disorders of their locomotor functions to train them in correct habits of walking and movements in general. SUBSTANCE: patient is forced to mechanically repeated by at least one limb of his (her) body cycles of natural movements of healthy person, such natural movements being transmitted through mechanical means from identical limb of healthy trainer. Proposed apparatus comprises mechanism for forced transmission of movements to at least one limb (portion) of sick trainee's body from identical limb (portion) of healthy-person-trainer. Depending of type of disease and on body's limb to be trained, several alternative embodiments of apparatus are available. EFFECT: proposed method and apparatus can be used in medical, rehabilitation, health restoring, etc. institutions, as well as under domestic conditions. Invention can be also used for training children suffering from retardation in their mental development, children with underdeveloped or incorrect locomotive functions to train them, e.g. in correct habits of walking, in movements of their trunk, head, hands, arms, etc. 18 cl, 12 dwg
