FIELD: spa; medical and physical rehabilitation; balneotherapy; medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spa, medical and physical rehabilitation, balneotherapy, medical equipment, therapeutic exercises in water, in patients with movement disorders due to orthopedic problems (diseases of the joints, spine), cardiovascular or neurological diseases, such as strokes, paralysis, radiculitis, to a device that regulates the resistance of water when moving in it. A plunger is used as such a device. When walking in the water of a pool or open pond, sequentially from session to session, increase the load, sequentially raising the water level in the pond or pool - from the depth at the level of the patient's waist to the depth at the level of the armpits, as well as adjusting the change in load during each session by changing the pace walking using the 10-point Borg scale. Also, when walking, the patient uses a device that regulates the resistance of the water when moving in it. A plunger is used as such a device. In this case, the first 5-10 minutes of each lesson is carried out at a load level of 1-2 scale points. Further, depending on the patient's tolerance, the load is gradually increased in the course of the lesson to 3-4 or 5-6 points of the scale. The last 5-10 minutes of the session again smoothly reduce the load to 1-2 points of the scale, the total duration of the session, depending on the patient's individual tolerance, is from 15 to 45 minutes. The device is used for one or both hands of the patient during his walking in water, depending on the need to load the corresponding limb, when moving the patient's hand squeezes the handle of the plunger, movements of the hands along the body when walking using the plunger with the hemisphere of his body directed downward, with the handle up, carried out by the type of walking with Scandinavian sticks, using the suction effect of the construction of the hemisphere of the plunger with overcoming the resistance when walking at the air-water interface.
EFFECT: method provides versatility of dosing load during therapeutic walking in water, providing improved safety - stability, balance in water for patients with various types of disorders.
